KACE Scripting query

Afternoon all,

I have a few pretty complex scripts and would like them to run one after the other.  Is there a way we can initiate a K1 script from within another K1 script?  This would save me from merging the scripts which would take way too long.

Also, is there a way we can name each task section within the script?  At the moment, it's just task1, task2 etc etc which is prety meaningless for when someone else comes to tweak the script further down the line.  If not, I'll add this onto the UserVoice section.

Thanks in advance!  Dave

I think this is what you are looking for. I've run into the same issues with some scripts needing to run as admin, and others as SYSTEM. Combined both installing the same piece of software.

The easiest way we have found is to find the script number (at the end of the url for the script page if you are using the adminui interface) and have the script run "c:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\kace\runkbot.exe [script #] 0" from a batch file or cmd. We also do this through Active Setup in the registry so that we can restart the computer and when it comes back up it automatically kicks off the next script. Hope this helps.
