KACE SDA Fetching Available Profile List Fails USMT

When attempting to run a USMT scan state on a workstation it fails. Prompt reads
Host "HostName"- ERROR: Failed to open connection - NT_STATUS_END_OF_FILE. Turned on Network Discovery and FileSharing; turned off real time protection; and enabled SMB v1. Can't get past this setup. I've tried the default template as well as a custom one.

  • Something on the OS is blocking USMT from harvesting profiles, might be User Account Control.... disable UAC from the registry,

    Open Registry Editor.

    Navigate to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

In the right pane, modify the value of the EnableLUA DWORD value and set it to 0.

If you do not have this DWORD value, then create it.

    Reboot the PC.

Try to scan profiles again. - Channeler 5 years ago
