Kace SDA not installing in VM correctly

Hello,

I am trying to deploy the OVF template for the Kace SDA in vSphere/esxi 6.7, but something is not working correctly.  The template deploys and I can power on the VM once deployed.  However, when logging in for the firs time using "konfig", I am not prompted to set a language or network settings.  It has been pointed out that the Kace version number is not displaying at the login screen, indicating a broken installation.

I have tried downloading the template multiple times and have tried the newest (8.2) and tried an older one (8.0) as well.  Both produce the same results.  Any suggestions on how to proceed with this?

Thank you in advanced!

  • Are you able to login with konfig / konfig ? Any errors?
Was the EULA accepted and the box declared as an SDA or as an RSA?

It sounds like the installation is not finished.
Could you try to use the same OVF on a different host or maybe VM Ware Workstation, to TEST only - Channeler 1 year ago

do you see any error messages?
do you use a DHCP server (or multiple)
the strange thing is that ithere is a IPV6 netmask and IPV4 address and broadcast.

I would suggest to contact support or your sales engineer for help in the first place.
