Kace2000 - add applications to current image.

Hello All,

I am new here. I have a question about updating an current image to install a couple more applications.

What is the easiest way. I am new to this system, so have not much experience with all of this.

Thanks,
Regards,
Kopfan.

If you have the applications included in your captured image then you will need to capture a new image...or... if you have a managed installation from your k1000 that works, you can export from your K1000 and import to your K2000 as a post installation task to add the installation to your existing image...or create a new post installation task to install your app.

  • Hobbsy, could you clarify on how the post installation task is done in the sense of a batch file/script.

Where would installers need to be located etc

    Many thanks

Hey Hobbsy,

Thanks for the reply.

We use K2000 for laptop image deployment. We have an image which we pxe boot from and is fine.

Could I just add a simple post installation task, a script/batch file that runs the installers.

If so, where would installers need to be stored.

Many thanks,
Kopfan.
