KBE fails to upload from Media Manager - 90kb Size KBE

Hi

So I've inherited this K2000 and one of the vital bits of info missing with it was the samba share password - so I reset it thinking how much damage can I do, all I have to do is rebuild the KBE's. Well now I can't get the new KBE's to upload to the appliance.

I'm running the latest version of WADK, latest Media Manager, it looks to be building the KBE without issue, gives a message saying build and upload complete but when I got to my source media in my SDA the file is only 90kb

I'm building the KBE on a clean Windows 10 vm and I'm able to ping the SDA from it.

Has anyone any ideas? I'm under pressure here to get it working and I'm convinced it's something simple that I'm doing wrong..

"but when I got to my source media in my SDA the file is only 90kb"

Environmental issue, maybe  Anti Virus , Security Scanner in your network, or GPO getting in the way.

Try to use the Media Manager from a machine that has no AV and if possible not joined to a domain.
Make sure your SDA has enough space, you can check this in your Dashboard.

But incomplete uploads are issues in between the Computer and the SDA appliance.

Try another machine.

  • The VM doesn't have any AV but would it not need to be part of the domain in order to upload to the SDA? - Techy-Tim 5 years ago
    • nope, we have a machine here, an old XPS we use for KACE stuff, is not joined to a domain, and it does not have any AV.

Just make sure the SDA IP is reachable and the samba share at \\YourSDAIP\ is accessible - Channeler 5 years ago
