Lenovo X1 Carbon type 20BS blue screen when it hits KBOX
Hi everyone! I can not push or pull an image from this Lenoxo X1 Carbon to save my life! It boots into the KBOX just fine, the KBE works (brand new) and then as soon as it reaches the main menu just blue screens. Any ideas? Thanks!

Most of the times blue screens indicate a missing or conflict driver, usually a storage driver.

Hi there! It boots into the KBOX- KBOX screen comes up, it starts loading and then before it reaches the KBOX menu it blue screens with this error code: 0x0000007E - supersniktt 8 years ago

The only items I can think of would be the storage driver is giving an error, when it blue screens what is the driver it gives as the issue (iaStorA.sys perhaps). If so then I would do a search in the \\ikbox\drivers folder for the driver and remove that one from the \drivers folder. Replace it with the one obtained from a system using a 3rd party software to back-up or harvest drivers. Just replace the single driver it has the problem with the correct replacement as KBE boot files only need network or storage drivers, anything else just takes up space and doesn't do anything for the KBE.
The second thought that comes to mind is that the BIOS needs to be updated, is the BIOS at the most recent version for that model?

HI there! Thank you- I will take a look at the drivers tomorrow. I did update the BIOS to the most current version and still blue screening...I will let you know how the driver fix goes. I did initially put the drivers in the drivers folder using drive harvest. - supersniktt 8 years ago
