Manually Updating K2100 to Latest Version (3.7)
I am in upgrade mode today and noticed that there was a new upgrade for the k2100 which boasts of a revamped user interface (yay!)...among other, more important, things.

Anyway, my K2100 was on 3.5 and so I upgraded it successfully to 3.6 (the minimum version required to upgrade to 3.7) (which was listed as an available update from the Appliance Maintenance tab). After it rebooted, I told it to check for updates and it didn't find the 3.7 update - no problem there (except that there is an update!) - so I manually downloaded it from the Dell support and then tried to manually update by choosing the downloaded upgrade .bin .kbin* file and then selecting Update K2000. It shows a progress window of uploading the file but once it finishes nothing happens at all.
*Initially wrote that it was a .bin file, but it was a .kbin file - all of this was done today (12/03).
My dumb question is, do I just need to reboot it again to initiate the update? The Appliance Maintenance tab still says that 3.6 is the latest version and there are no updates available. My other question (if my dumb question is not relevant) is why isn't the manual update working?

...and, for the record, I have opened a ticket with Dell - but I put it was a "minimal" impact, so I'm not anticipating to hear from them for another day or so... - jfrank 9 years ago

A 3.7 bin file was accidentally posted yesterday, this file will not work and has since been removed. You must use the .kbin file, try downloading again.

I see a command: running /kbox/bin/update_server.php - followed by command exit statis is 0 - followed by command produced no output - followed by cleaning up child process (four numbers - though they're different numbers each time) - 4099, 1439, 2853, 5581, 6393, 15060. - jfrank 9 years ago

Turns out the file download wasn't fully complete - no errors though, so I had no way of knowing. The download site didn't specify how large the file was; for the record, it was about 236 MB for anyone else manually updating.
