Microsoft lync 2010 connection error

All of a sudden client receives "server unavailable error" checked all options including firewall , tried manual and auto discover , no dns issues able to ping lync server by name and IP . Ran Microsoft connectivity analyzer and came back successful with credentials

  • Lync is weird about the time settings on the client PC running the Lync client... make sure both your server and your workstation are in sync (also a Kerberos requirement, which may be part of this) with the same authoritative time server. If your Lync is hosted in the cloud, try to connect the local client PC to the Windows time server on the internet. If both the server and client are in the same AD domain, confirm they are synced. If this is not synced up, the client is denied login. - Trevor Norcross 10 years ago
  • Thank you for the response , the time is sync'd , it's funny as its always worked then one day it just stopped made me think a update may of broke it but no one else has this issue. - A raimondi 10 years ago
