I might also suggest plugging into AC power. Many laptops scale down when running on battery to conserve battery life.

Was this through a KACE managed installation or is it from a manual installation?

if it was the first, check your command line for the installation is valid and works and if it was the later, contact the software author and ask them to reship you the media

How to resolve the game stuck into installing process for eternity

1.Quit and try again

2.Run installer in the compatibility mode w/ administrative permission

3.Restart Steam and try again

4.Defragment the HDD and check its health

5. Check your internet connection

Solution 1 – Quit and try again

A simple but viable step when something like this occurs. Especially if you’re installing digital copies with the Steam client or its peers. Furthermore, make sure that you have enough storage space. Free up some space if necessary.

Contemporary games come with a lot of additional patches and updates that can, sometimes, take up to 10, 20, or more gigabytes. For the installation process to finish, occasionally you’ll need to install available updates, too. And that will additionally prolong the installation process.

Therefore, make sure to stop the installation process, clean everything, check all included variables (storage space, permissions, etc.) and start from a scratch. Furthermore, if there’s away, you can start the setup directly and avoid the Steam/Battle.net/Origin client.

Solution 2 – Run installer in the compatibility mode w/ administrative permission

While we’re at it, it’s worth mentioning that sometimes the incompatibility with the current system version can stall or even prevent the installer from completing the installation.

To avoid this, we advise you to run the game in the compatibility mode to an initially predicted system version. Meaning that, if your game is older, make sure to run it in the compatibility mode for Windows 7 or 8. Furthermore, the administrative permission is also important for the installer to make changes to your system.

If you’re unaware of this, the steps below should show you how to do it:

Navigate to the folder where the game setup (Setup.exe, most of the time) is located. It’s either on the installation disk or in the PC storage.

1.Right-click on ”Setup.exe” and open Properties.

2. Choose the Compatibility tab.

3. Check the ”Run this program in compatibility mode for” box.

4. From the drop-down menu, select Windows 7 or Windows 8.

5. Now, check the ”Run this program as an administrator” box.

6. Click OK to confirm changes.
