Policies
--------

Nero Update can be configured by policies for use in
administrated network environments.

[1] These policies are set through several registry keys
located under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Policies/Nero/Agent].

Using a network share for Nero Update
------------------------------------
Administrators can get a zipped update repository that, when
unzipped on a network share, can be used to update all clients
running NeroUpdate automatically.
To reference the local network share instead of the global
Nero update server simply create the following string value
in the Windows registry in the above mentioned registry key [1].

UpdateRepository <path to network share>

The path can either be a mapped drive with drive letter assignment or
an UNC path to a share on a server. The share has to be accessible
by all clients using it.

Please note: After changing the repository Nero Update has to be
(re-)started to recognize the change!

Restricting user (client) access to Nero Update
----------------------------------------------
The following values can be additionally created to restrict access
to NeroUpdate on a computer (e.g. by domain policies):

you can use something like http://www.itninja.com/link/regshot-is-an-open-source-lgpl-registry-compare-utility-1 to look at registry.

Also you can make the change and search the drive by todays date, sort by time and see what file(s) changed at the time.

Hi , I tried the the snapshot method, I was not able to get registry.I created the MSI though for that changes of update. When I tried to install that msi , it did not show me the changes at the nero control center, the default remained. Is the update taking place at the website itself. Because I did not see any registry changes too, for the Check Interval.
