New Computer Zero Touch Bios configuration

We are due to accept delivery of 140 Dell systems in the near future and we are looking to do a zero touch bios reconfiguration. Is this possiable with the Kace k2000 system?

we just want to plug the computers into power/network turn them on and let them contact the KACE K2000 system to pull bios config ( boot order etc). The computers we have already received are not set to boot from network automatically.

Because we will be running a virtual desktop its even unlikely the bios will be directly avaliable to the kace agent on the system.

On the very first run, this is not possible.  You will need to power on the machine, press F12, boot to network.

If you import a list of mac addresses, etc to the K2, then you can assign a boot action first and you will be set to go.  If not, you will have to select your KBE and then select an image/SI to deploy.

The BIOS config can be done several ways.  One is to create an .exe package using the Dell Client Configuration Toolkit (DCCTK).  You can also add DCCTK to your KBE using KBE Manipulator (KBEM).  Using the later option means you can create commandline dcctk tasks that run in KBE.
