No "REMOVE" button using AppDeploy Repackager

Hi,

I was able to create a MSI using AppDeploy Repackager. I ran the MSI
and it installed the application successfully. However, when I tried to remove it (un-install) in Add/Remove panel, the "Remove" button was not
available (or visible). I managed to uninstall it by right clicking the MSI and
choose "Uninstall" from the context menu.

How can remove the app after it has been installed via the MSI in Add/Remove? What do I need to do to make the "Remove" button available?

Thank you for your help!

You can control how applications installed with MSI appear in ARP by setting any of several public properties available for this purpose. This can be done from the command line or by editing the property table of the MSI directly. In a "managed" environment the thinking was that no listing made the most sense for most environments that would be using a tool like AppDeploy Repackager. That is why it is as it is by default, but you can customize it easily. For a reference see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa368032(VS.85).aspx
