oracle jinitiator 1.3.1.30

Hi!

is there any one who knows,how to test this program,dose it works or not?

I believe that Jinitiator is used when connecting to Oracle browser based applications.

So, you will need to have a connection to whatever Oracle browser app your client uses - to test the functionality of the package you create.

Oracle will eventually do away with Jinit and simply support JRE.

If your org is running an older version of Oracle Forms server then you maybe stuck with using Jinit.
If they are running a later version you can ask them if they can configure it to support JRE.

Dunnpy is correct. you have to have an Oracle Browser based application to test this. We have several and each require a specific version of the jinit.

We are in the process of getting rid of the 1.3.1.9 version as it is NOT compatible with IE7 or IE8. I'm not sure about 1.3.1.30 so if those are of concern to you, do some checking on the compatibility.
