Patch Deployment and Management

My organization is primarily utilizing Linux for servers, but we are considering moving more into the realm of running Linux on client systems. For servers, we simply use cron jobs for automatic patching. I know we could do the same for client systems, but does anybody currently use or know of a management system for Linux clients? We use the KBOX 1100, but it doesn't currently support Ubuntu - the agent only supports RedHat.

Customers choose Sybase for the same reasons they choose Linux and Linux applications – lightning-fast performance, lower total cost of ownership (TCO), and the many benefits of open technology. Sybase's Linux commitment began in 1999 with the delivery of an enterprise-class DBMS on Linux and was the first to deliver a free enterprise-class commercial database that includes both pilot development and deployment. With Linux proving itself as a strong platform for enterprise computing, companies are seeing performance and cost advantages as they shift complex workloads to Linux.[/align]

Nice sales pitch, but I was asking about patch management for Linux systems - not a DBMS solution.
