Patching to update software like VlC and Adobe products
Hi folks.
I have never actually used the patching module in the k1.
My question is, can I use the patching to update software
like VLC or Acrobat automatically whenever there is a newer
version available.
Any pointers on how to do this? I need to get this up and running
very quickly for a list of software.

Yes, you can.
The easiest way is:
Go into the patching module and check for the patches you like.
Security | Patch Management |Subscriptions and look for the vendor you like. If it is there the software is likely patchable.

Be aware that Adobe products may have the issue that some which only patch over their cloud cannot be patched by KACE since no patches are avaiable.
For VLC the latest one is 3.0.12 for Mac and Win x86 und x64
