Post-Installation seems to time out during deployment

I have a large 2GB post installation via batch command that times out during heavy deployment load and skips to the next install in the script. When I'm deploying a scripted installation manually on an individual machine, the file extracts from a compressed archive and installs normally.

Whenever I'm deploying to a large number of computers at a given time, this particular file extracts then the batch command stops mid-way through the installation. There is no flag that shows that it has necessarily "failed" according to the script.

We have a large and heavily piped infrastructure. 10Gb NICs from the host and fiber throughout to 1Gb 40 port catalysts. It does not seem to be a bandwidth issue.

Also, the most recent example was the deployment to 20 of the same machines, Dell Optiplex 9020 with i5 vPros, 256GB of SSD, and 8GB of RAM. Out of the 20 running the same scripted installation, 1 of them installed this post-install correctly.

Any insight would be appreciated.

10 devices is the limit for Unicast Deployments.

for +10 at the same time better use Automated Boot Actions and Multicast Deployments, I have seen users with up to +200 devices at the same time with Multicast.

About Multicast:

Also if your KACE Appliance is a Hyper-V Machine, see:

Set your switches and KACE SDA manually to 1000 Mbps full-duplex, removing it from Auto-negotiate, we have found that this helps in many environments. (Assuming your switches are capable of reaching these speeds).
