Hey all!

I'm trying to work on using Kace to upgrade all of our systems from 1809 to the new 1903 Feature pack. Is Kace able to do this through managed installations?

If so, could I get some help with how to push the update? I have the managed installation working right but I don't have the right ISO or MSU file that actually does the updating.

Hi,

one of our Engineers wrote a story about the inplace upgrades including a precheck, preseeding and the install. Have a look here:

Kind Regards

Hi,

If you have a KACE SMA, you could do this with a Managed Install:

If you have a KACE SDA, you could do this with Custom Deployments:

  • We have a KACE SMA and we've set up the Managed Install. The problem is that we can't find the correct ISO file to use. I followed that guide and have the Managed Install working properly but just not with the correct file.
    • Download an ISO from your Microsoft's Volume License Portal.

      https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx

All the ISOs you get from there, are licensed for mass deployment. They should work fine.

I would suggest contacting the payload provider (ISO, Microsoft), to make sure the correct one is being used.
