Quicktime 7.0.4 pushed via GPO
Dear god I hope someone can help me out...
I am trying to deploy QuickTime to my enterprise via GPO, but I am having the hardest damn time getting a package together. I split it up and got the ISScript package out of it, and got it pushed out over GPO already. Here is what I have done to the package so far: (using AdminStudio 7 pro and ORCA....both didn’t work)
- The 'ISSETUPDRIVEN' property created and set the value to 1.
- Changed 'SetQTCOMPONENTS' property from 787 to 1005.
I did this, along with some other random stuff...(icon settings and such), nothing that should stop it from installing. After some long drawn out time of pulling what’s left of my hair out, I tried to just change those settings and see if it worked...it didnt. The odd thing is that it doesn’t even look like the package is being recognized...it is very weird, and frustrating.
Any ideas??? Please don’t point me back to the package section, as I have tried almost every suggestion in there that is applicable to version 7.0.4...and a good amount of combinations of things also.

It install's as a stand alone app just fine...but in doing some more work on it i got this error in the event viewer:
The install of application QuickTime 7.0 from policy TGP-HD Applications failed. The error was : The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
I am trying to publish the software to the computer object...and am publishing from the same place that all my other software is being published

This will probably not work, but you never know: make sure the msi is not opened for editing (in ORCA or any other tool) when you deploy and install it. If the msi is opened by such a program, you will not be able to install it.
Also make sure that the security settings on the file is the same as the other msi's you can deploy.
