Software Deployment

I'm trying to follow this guide located here:

And I am currently having issues with rebuilding the boot environment.  I need to know, do I need to download and install the K2000 Media Manager to the machine I'm going to use as the new boot environment?  With this downloaded, will the boot environment still retain all the previous drivers for older models as well(or at least the ones installed through driver feed)? Also, I don't recall having to do this for all model laptops but have only came across the issue when I was trying to Image an E7470.  Our previous image has been used even on E7450 laptops.
