Remove Active setup created by IEAK 9

Hello I used the IE Admin Kit to create an automated install package for our organization.  In the IEAK I added several favorites to be added by default.  The user has now requested to have these favorites removed.  Everytime a new user logs on the active setup runs and adds the favorites.  Is there an easy way to disable to active setup that was created by the IEAK?

you can find the registry keys associated with ieak 9 active setup under hklm\software\microsoft\active setup\installed components and delete that keyset to stop it.

  • In Troubleshooting I actually deleted the entire entry for hklm\software\microsoft\active setup\installed components and it still added the Favorites - gloch 10 years ago
    • are they just coming from the favorites sub directory under user the profile?
C:\Users\homer\Favorites, those would carry over. - SMal.tmcc 10 years ago
