Removing restart dialog

Dear All,

I'm repackaging mcafee SDAT.exe for distribution purpose. The problem here is I'm getting restart dialog after installing msi. How can I remove that and still apply changes. Please help me in this.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
MSV

Is the restart part of the MSI or part of the SuperDAT file?

If its part of the MSI, you can utilise the REBOOT=ReallySuppress option in the Property table.

-or-

If its part of the SuperDAT file then you can use the /SILENT command-line switch. Some NAI programs do require a reboot before the new DATs can actually be used. By using the this switch, it will only suppress the reboot option dialog.

Good luck!

I think rebootyesno is just the default whether to reboot or no, and will not fully suppress the prompt.

Also I hear that you can do Reboot="R" instead of ReallySuppress (haven't tried yet myself!)

Indeed that is true, done that for all my packages. "Suppress" can also be shortened to "S" as well.

RESTART=ReallySuppress worked for me. I'll try 'S' instead of Suppress.

Thanks a lot once again.....Satya
