SCCm Remote Control with secondary site

Hi folks,

I had a question for any SCCM Admins in the know. I'm working on a Single Primary Site SCCM setup that literally spans the globe. Its based in America and obviously speeds vary. Service Desk in Europe use SCCM remote control

for users in Europe and complain that it is very slow. If I introduce a secondary site in say Amsterdam, and all Support and Users report to the european management point, will that improve remote control performance for European based SD.

I suppose what I mean is will european Remote Desktop Traffic relay through the secondary site and out to the clients.

On that topic, apart from introducing a secondary site for slow wan reasons, mp sup and dp is there any other good selling points ?

  • For SCCM probably not....you could always try KACE as a solution that does work ;o)
So many customers fall into the trap of a "free" SCCM system, whereas the reality of the solution is that you are very much on your own, on your own to provide your own server resources and on your own to get your knowledge up to spec so that you can get the solution to work... - Hobbsy 7 months ago
