Scripting processes running a program in separate userspace?

2 years ago I was playing around with scripting and ran a command as my user for a colleague, it sent a message to my colleague and said there was a message from another user.  Upon reading the message it opened a desktop(no icons, no Start menu) as my user and ran the program specified in the script.  I have only have gotten this to successfully work a couple times.  This was also on version 7 or 8.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Is there any documentation on this?  Thanks in advance.

  • It sounds like you used the option to run a script as a specific user. This should be an option for Online Shell Scripts and Online KScripts. - chucksteel 3 years ago
    • I did, the process has to be run as a domain admin level user, so I specified my credentials, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. It opens the window in the background without the user able to see it - sbenson 3 years ago
    • Currently when using "Windows Run As: Credentials" with my admin user it runs the program I need to run in the background and unusable to the logged in user.

In the past it popped up and allowed the logged in user to interact with the program, which I am trying to utilize. - sbenson 3 years ago
