Scripting questions.
Hey so, I will be honest. KACE is without a doubt the least intuitive system i've ever used.
But its what i've got to use, so i guess i dont have a choice.
We are using K1000
so here are my questions.
1. I need a script that will check for exceptions in Internet settings, should i not be there to then add it in.
I'm not very good at scripting... and by not very good i mean. I can't do it.
2. Another script we need is to scan and check for HD space on users machines. Show it be reaching a threshold it would need to email the service desk to inform them of the issue. So that we can proactively fix the issue before the customer is affected.
I am sure we could do this via GP, but again. Not 100% sure on GP updates.

For #2 you can set up a scheduled notification (Reporting > Notification). Create a new device notification and use, for ex, Disk % Capacity > 90 (for over 90% usage). We use this for the same scenario. Works great and prevents many issues ahead of time.

GP is the way to go with this, if only to take advantage of the granularity it gives you. Doing this in script will be a nightmare, especially from a maintenance point of view, i.e. adding/moving/deleting users or groups.
