SDA 9 "No images are available"

I upgraded to version 9 yesterday. I've uploaded Win11 source media with the new Media Manager and have created a simple scripted installation. It successfully gets through UEFI creation and MBR setup. The purple Windows Setup screen shows up for 5-10 seconds, then the window with "Select the operating system you want to install" pops up. Under Operating System, it says "No images are available."

I've used the command line tool to verify that the folder with the OS source media being called by the task xml file exists, plus the xml file under the sifs folder. I wonder if the error itself is misleading - eg, whether it's really a problem with the generic Windows 11 key (we use KMS) or some other problem.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Windows 11 is not compatible with MBR

Make sure this is a 100% true UEFI install.

(boot from an UEFI source, make sure the BIOS is set to UEFI, make sure UEFI partitioning tasks are in use).

OK, thanks. I have UEFI tasks, so I'll ditch the MBR task and try again.

  • I got rid of the MBR task, but still no dice. I've had to work on other things but hope to get back to this soon. - tpr 1 year ago
