Select valur from dialog box when it is not from installshield wizard

Hi,

I have an application , cisco attendant console premiume edition.

When we run the exe it extracts the msi . The msi does not have any dialogs. The exe has the dialogs and those are defined in the dll named as "_isuser.dll"....I am unable to capture the setting in one of the dialog box "server type" rest all settings are getting captured in the registry. But only the server type when I select the other option does not reflect anywhere in the system.

please help...I ahve trie dwith all possible methods we follow...but unable to get through...

  • Almost certainly, the EXE passes that detail to the MSI via the command line.

Enable MSI logging. That will result in a .LOG file with the prefix "MSI" in yourb %TEMP% folder when the MSI runs. After the first screen is displayed, open the log and look for the text "command line". Hopefully, in that line will be the property you need. - anonymous_9363 10 years ago
    • I have already checked the log file and there are no properties reflecting the same.. - ankita_g29 10 years ago
