Sequencing Adobe CS6

Has anyone had any luck sequencing Adobe CS6 in Microsoft App-v?

I have successfully sequenced Adobe CS6 Design Standard and the applications run, but my issue now is with the PACE anti-piracy system that Adobe is using. The applications lose all licensing information and will only run as trials.

I installed Adobe CS6 after creating an Enterprise Deployment using Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition, in hopes that it would allow the licensing to be silent, but it is not working. Anyone have any ideas?

I have not sequenced Adobe CS6, but from the documentation I've seen the licensing with CS6 is not able to be transferred via image even if a volume license key is used. The new AAMEE tool allows creation of serialization packages to deploy on newly imaged installations of CS6. I would assume to sequence CS6 you would also need to sequence the serialization package so the client is fully licensed.

Did you setup an enterprise deployment and then sequence that install?

Comments:
  • Yes, I am using the enterprise deployment. I know it's not a requirement, but one thing to note is that the enterprise deployment does not allow you to customize the installation directory with CS6 like you could with CS5.

I have made progress by running a single installation using setup.exe and it appears to be licensing properly. I'm running my final sequencer now and should know shortly if it worked. - nsticklen 11 years ago
  • I'm interested in what you find. I'm using Zenworks Application Visualization, and after having built the Virtual App, I too am running into registration issues, where it's asking for login to the adobe website. I'm hoping to find the secret for not having to deal with product activation.

I'm guessing that in the end, we may just have to use Zenworks to deliver an old fashioned MSI installation to each workstation, for which I have various and many. While this is very doable, it's quite a bit more cumbersome when dealing with multitudes of machines.

I'm eagerly waiting to hear about your findings. ;) - ftspampi 11 years ago

Any update on this.. Was anyone able to sequence CS6 without issues?

Comments:
  • Ive also got issues trying to sequence it, i think the best way is to create a trial package then serialize it, but whenever i run the serialization tool i get a error code 25, no product found to licence.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - boggot 10 years ago
