Smart Label to not include patches for servers
Ello Ello!
I'm trying to create a smart label for patching that does not include and patches that are for servers (For obvious reasons). Every time I create a label though I add a line and choose "Name" "Does Not Contain" "Server" or Exchange or whatever, even Microsoft Server 2012. Though when I test the label, those patches for servers still populate in the list. I want this smart label to contain only Windows Patches. So no Adobe, Java, etc. and definitely not any server stuff. Any advice? What am I missing here? Here is the full breakdown:
Publisher - Contains - Microsoft &
OS - is - Windows &
Type - is - Security &
Type - is not - Software Installer & (Even though I don't have it downloading a software installer I always throw this in)
Superseded - is - No &
Name - Does not Contain - Server (Or whatever you want to put)

JZycho,
Why? The K1000 will only detect the need for patches that are compatible with the OS on the device, and will only deploy patches that it detected as needed by the device. Have you checked out our KKEs on Patching?

Oh Okay, I thought for some reason it would push a server update to those that were not even for servers. I had a brain fart. Thanks though. I did watch the basics one but it was a while ago and kind of forgot some of the things it said in it. Appreciate it. - JZycho 7 years ago
