Softgrid with the copy mode method

If I dont want to use the streaming, can I only use MS SMS to deploy the applications, or do I still need the Softgrid server?`

You need the server for authentication / useage tracking. I would like to get in a feature request to have a policy to disable the requirement for authentication if connectivity is extremely limited.

There is a Connector for SMS 2003 that allows you to create 3 types of advertisements.
DYNAMIC-requires client connectivity to a SoftGrid Server
AUTH-same as above but can deploy SFT using SMS rather than through SoftGrid streaming
NO_AUTH-clients do not talk to SoftGrid Server at all
