Sophos Central Endpoint / Mac OS

Has anyone been able to do a Managed Install / or scripting of Sophos Central Endpoint agent on a Mac? I would like to push the install via KACE

I dont use Sophos but have successfully installed Trend Micro on my Macs via KACE ONLINE SHELL script.

1. Have you seen their install instructions for Macs? https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000035045?language=en_US

2. Have you tried doing a local scripted install on a Mac?

I would start by getting it automated locally with a bash/sh script using the steps from link above. If you can successfully get it installed then it should be do-able via Kace script.

For starters here is what I would try:

1. Run those CHMOD commands

2. Rezip the 2 files/folders into 1 package & add zip into KACE Online Shell Script:

  • Sophos Installer Components folder
  • Sophos Installer.app

3. In KACE Online Shell script have it run the install command as:
sudo Sophos\ Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Sophos\ Installer --install

Just based off the instructions that would be what I would try first to get it installed using KACE. Hopefully this helps or points you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any follow up questions and hopefully I could help
