SQL Server 2000

Has anyone deployed SQL Server 2000 via GPO?

They are asking me to automate a SQL server build using a MST.....does anyone think this is possible?

You could attempt to repackage this as an MSI (an MST is used only to modify a MSI you already have), however your best bet is to make use of the supported command line installation support. If you require an MSI for GPO deployment reasons, you may consider a startup script or wrapping the command line in an MSI (as a custom action).

See the website/documentation for whatever MSI authoring/repackaging tool you are using. If it happens to be Wise, I have a related article that may help you with some step-by-step here:

Good luck!
