Unable to access the Local content after Kbox1000 6.0 upgrade

I have been trying to login into our kace via the \\kbox to access the client information to get a new version of the client but my somba account and password no longer works.  Can some tell me how to change it in the kbox1000 if there is a way? or tell me what the default user name and password is to access it, i thought it was admin/admin but it isnt working.

  • admin/admin is the default for \\kbox\client
    • K so 6.0 broke something cause I can no longer get into the \\kbox\client and admin\admin is what we have been using since we got the devices.
      • I believe there may be some underlying issue with 6.0's file share not working correctly. It is causing failures when provisioning agents also. I've found a few posts from others with similar issues.

        I already have a ticket open with Kace support and I am waiting for a call back from their Tier 2 support, so please keep us updated if you get it fixed before us.
  • Try accessing after resaving the samba share settings from the 'Settings->Control Panel->general settings" page
    • I don't see any Samba share settings with the Kbox1000 in V6.0 its there on the Kbox2000 though
  • Talked to support and got it fixed. They moved the location of the SOMBA, its Settings - Control Panel - Security Settings and then I actually then there is a Somba share mid way down the page, I just entered my password to the share and rebooted and now everything works again
