Uninstall Adobe Air Silently
I've been trying to get a script to run from Kace that will uninstall Adobe Air silently, but I just can't get it working. I'm trying the following command in a batch file:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Resources\Adobe AIR Updater.exe -arp:uninstall -silent
The thing is, it jus won't work with the silent switch (too many parameters). As soon as I remove that silent switch and run it, it works and prompts the user to uninstall Air. Sadly, this is not what I need.
I've read on old forums that there is an msi you can use which allows the silent/quiet switch, but I can't find it as it's long since gone. I also extracted the exe file in 7zip to try and use the msi packed in there, but that was a bust.
Has anyone had any success for doing this via Script? Uninstallers generated by the Configuration Policies in Kace also don't have the silent switch, so are also no use for this case.

Can you choose the software you want here?
If yes, it would fill out the fields with the results from the software inventory.
This creates a script you can run against the targets.
As targets I suggest a label containing all systems having this software installed.

Unfortunately the configuration policies aren't silent either, so I have no issue creating them and running them, but they won't work silently (the user will see an uninstall prompt for Adobe Air when it runs). When I tried adding the -silent switch to the parameters in the generated script, it doesn't work at all. I'm hoping someone had came across this in the past and found a workaround to uninstall it silently. Thanks again!

this happens sometime that the uninstaller does not have a silent option included. In that case you have no choice (except ... well this becomes complicated then since you have to modify the registry directly and delete the folders etc by hand.) - Nico_K 10 months ago
