uninstalling hummingbird dm 5.1.0.5 breaks dcom!

has anyone else noticed this? i only picked it up because we use sms2003 here and the client agent relies on dcom. seems that when you uninstall dm5.1.0.5 it disables dcom. i need to manually go into the component configuration msc and re-enable it.
