Upgrading K1000 from 5.2.xxx to 6.2 or most current

I recently powered on the K1000 that we have sitting in our rack for a few years, I am new to the company and the previous guy bought it and kept up on the software maintenance but never used it..ever. So I am in the process of dealing with Dell support for upgrading the OS from 5.2 to 6.2 with the path of least resistance.  Dell recommended that I reimage the box to 5.3 so I can apply patches/updates through 6.2.   Its a blank box, no database, no users, nothing on it. So can I just reimage the box to 6.2 and skip all those other versions?  I have confirmed the box is 64bit and 6.2 will not be a problem.

I had to wait for them to update the website so I could download the 5.3 kbin.  I then had to go from 5.3 to 5.4 to 5.5 to 6.0 then 6.2.   took about an hour to get to the newest version.

Thank for the help.

They need to give you the iso to create a boot with so work with them to get the newest version possible to download.
