User Downloads

Hello,

This is the first time I am trying to create a user download and I am wondering what I have missed. I have a device label which has some TEST PC's in there one of which is mine and when I go to user downloads nothing is shown.

This is how I am setup:

Type: Script

    Relevant Script Selected

Enabled: Checked

Install instructions: Click Me? (Didn't know if it was mandatory or not)

Description: Filled in relevant to the software install

Vendor License and Corporate Licensing Policy are blank

Attachment is blank as this is part of the script.

Labels - My Device Label has been selected.

Also Restrict by Device Label - Checked

Requires Approval - UNCHECKED.

Clicked on SAVE

I have inventoried my machine but still nothing shows up. My machine shows as my username as being the last logged on user and the user Download area is logged in as that user but still nothing shows.

I am obviously missing something really obvious but I cant see what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

James

Just as an experiment, untick the option to "also restrict by  User labels" and just try operating the download based on the Device label that you have selected and see if it works?

  • Hello,

I found the issue out which was I didn't have a user label in there so once I found out how to do this everything worked fine.

Thank you for your contribution though I did try it but it didn't work on the count of me not having a user label in there!

    Thanks - Morpheus83uk 3 years ago
