Question about using OpenScape with Windows Communication Foundation

Hi,

I have a question concerning usage of OpenScape Contact Center Enterprise V8 R1 Client and Openscape V8 R1 Screen Pop API.

We currently have an application that utilizes the client and screen pop that are mentioned above.  We are using Visual Basic (VB) and COM for our implementation; yes, our application is getting old.  Event listeners monitor for phone calls, and subsequently a screen is launched so our Customer Service personnel can assist the customer that’s calling.

However, it is time to refactor our application so it can make use of more modern technologies.  We would like to use Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) if possible, or some other technology that is more modern, for our new implementation.

A web search on the topic has turned up negative.  Is it possible to use WCF, or do we stay with VB\COM?  If we can use WCF, would you be able to refer us to some documentation?

Thanks.
