I don't think that the system knows whether a patch was installed via KACE or another means. KACE only knows because it tracks in the database if it installed a patch or not. - chucksteel 5 years ago

Hi, thanks for the replies although the response wasn't what I was expecting. Let me add some extra info, we have a lot of machines that are being patched by KACE (and definitely are getting the patches installed as is obvious looking at running processes at the time) however if I look at Windows update history the machines show no Windows updates having been installed for over a year at the same time we started using KACE to patch. Using powershell to list installed windows updates doesn't show them via any method I've tried, I've seen various different powershell script suggestions for how to include Windows patches in the list that other methods may miss but none of these methods have been able to show any of the Windows updates applied by KACE either, only updates applied prior to KACE.
I guess my real questions is how can I view ALL installed Windows updates on a machine (ideally using powershell) including the ones KACE has installed, an install date would be really helpful as well but getting them to show at all would be a good start.
A 'check for updates' in Windows Update works as expected and found 13 outstanding patches on the machine I just looked at, all of which are quite recent so windows update functionality is working fine and machine clearly is being patched by KACE, it hasn't just been failing the updates... - undecided 5 years ago
