Virtual kontainers
We have a working k1100 and k2100. For testing purposes we are trying the k1*** trial with helpdesk & virtual kontainers (functions that we dont have in our own licenced version). But after 2 packages there was an error. I tried to create a kontainer for adobe reader 9.2. No problems at all, only when deploying to a fresh installed computer it misses files that adobe reader 9.2 needs (like 30 errors of missing files).
I used the distribution version of adobe reader with msi installer.
What can solve this problem? If this kind of problems can be solved. A great chance that we would purncase the vk addin.

I haven't used Virtual Kontainers, as we didn't test it or purchase the module for our KBOX implementation. If you don't get an answer from someone here shortly, I'd suggest submitting a support ticket to KACE to get an answer.

Adobe Reader is definitely something regularly tested so you shouldn't see any problems with it. My best guess would be that the Kontainer package was created on a system that already had Adobe installed. To ensure everything is captured, you need for the setup to run on a clean machine (usually a VM or test PC). The nice part is that you don't have to reset this machine for your next package as the installation does not actually take place on the physical PC during the creation process.
Also there are a few ways to create a Kontainer, I recommend the Kontainer Creator Utility.

I tried the kontainer creator utility (thanks for the trial add-in for our kbox). Still some testing to do, but adobe reader now works like a charm. I did not have any problems so far, so it looks prommising!

How are you handling patches to Adobe Reader in a VK? When a patch is released, do you have to recreate the VK or apply the patch to it? If just patching the original VK, do the clients that have copies of the original Acrobat Reader install get automatically updated, or do you have to remove and redeploy?

Based on my testing so far. I should say you will have to recreate the package with the new version. Also you need to remove the old kontainer and deploy the new one (Based on my testing so far).
