What directories does the K1000 write to on a local machine

We recently installed a new anti virus product called Cylance and we need to identify all the areas that the K1000 writes to on a local machine so we can add them to the exception list. We already excluded the named KACE directories however inventory and patching is no longer working and we are suspecting that we don't have all the directories that KACE uses......Help!

  • We already included the programdata\dell\kace directory and still have the issue. - rockstardp 7 years ago

  • does the AV contain a firewall section and you need to allow kace thru? - SMal.tmcc 7 years ago
    • no, and i have a suspicion that Kace writes to c\windows\temp to transfer data to the kbox and this directory we blocked for obvious reasons. I am hoping a Kace programmer can confirm this - rockstardp 7 years ago
      • kace instructs the system to write there to place the needed installs that run under system. - SMal.tmcc 7 years ago
      • you can look at the logs kagent#.log and it shows you where kace is writing things or try to. if you need turn on verbose use the amptools command debug= [true | false] Switch true enables debugging on the client machine, while false disables this option. When executing debug=true, the AMPAgent will restart automatically. - SMal.tmcc 7 years ago
      • here is an example

        DownloadFile: Downloaded C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\dkl80FD.tmp from https://kbox.tmcc.edu/service/kbot_service_notsoap.php - SMal.tmcc 7 years ago
