Where is everyone going for help now that Appdeploy is gone?

Now that itninjadellkaceslowerthanhellcantfindanything has ruined what was a great resource for finding help with application packaging and software deployment, where is everyone going?

Appdeploy has just changed its name and format for good. Everyone is still here. You will get use to it. ;-)

  • And according to the people who work on this site, the "can't find anything" problem is something they are working on. I wish they would hurry up and get it done :), but I'm willing to give them a little more time. I'd also like to point out that, at least in my opinion, some parts of the site are better designed now then they were on AppDeploy (The QA for one thing, and the overall look of the site feels cleaner). - Ben M 11 years ago
    • edit: spoke to soon, found the tips place and this explains how the versions are done now. http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/new-deployment-tips-and-q-a-browsing-features

I totally agree with the "can’t find anything", and when you do find something you don’t know what version it is in reference to anymore, it’s just a big pile of packaging soup that barely searchable. I really do hope they fix it, there is so much valued information hidden away in here.

I do agree parts are better, defo the QA as mentioned, and the look is amazing now. - rileyz 11 years ago
  • 3 months and still the same issues as when it changed. As well, the volume/quality of questions/replies has dropped dramatically. Which leads me to believe people have gone elsewhere. So, I'm not really interested in responses as to whether the site will improve or is better or whatever. I'd like to know where everyone going for help/reference. - jmaclaurin 11 years ago
    • There are about the same number of new questions and answers being generated on the site today as there were before the migration. As for where the Package KB has gone for sharing deployment tips this active area of the site is located at http://www.itninja.com/tips - bkelly 11 years ago
  • Work to improve and enhance has been ongoing since launch and will continue indefinitely. You can view the regular progress we've been making at http://www.itninja.com/blog/tag/ITNinja

I think the primary complaint today is finding software and we are (fingers crossed) in the final testing stages of releasing a major feature that will support filtered browsing of all software titles. If you have other feedback not addressed in our feedback area (link on right side of the screen), please do go post it there (or vote up existing issues not yet addressed) as this is a major factor in how the hundreds of things we intend to do to improve the site are prioritized. - bkelly 11 years ago
