Win10 KBE Deployed Image Wont see M.2 PCIe SSD after reboot

Good afternoon,

I'm having a little trouble deploying a Win 10 image, and was wondering if y'all could help. The image appears to finish the deployment, and on the reboot it stops with the error "No Bootable Devices Found". We are deploying onto Dell Optiplex 7060's, with M.2 PCIe SSDs. I'm using the KBE PE10 driver pack with KBE manipulator 4.0.

Thank you,

-josh

  • What partitons were captured for this image?

Are you deploying in legacy or UEFI mode?

What are your PRE and MID level tasks?

    Be aware of:

  • When i captured the image, there was only a single partition, the C: . It is a factory Dell image that we modified to fit our needs.

BIOS is in UEFI mode, Legacy ROMs are on so i can boot to the USB KBE, secure boot is off, ACHI is on.

    Pre-tasks i have set:
    Create UEFI partitions
    Install Vista/2008/7/8/10/2012/2016 MBR

    No Mid-tasks

    Thank you for the help,

could be your bios settings for boot type (legacy vs uefi).  I suspect you did not also download the win 10 OS driver pack and add that to the feed.  The KBE pack only applies while you are in PE mode you also need to get the OS pack and put that in the feed.  Go to Library and check the Dell Driver Feed and select the 7060 there.

To manually update the drivers attach to the \\ikbox using admin and samba password, navigate to \\ikbox\drivers_postinstall\dell\windows_10_x64\7060.

Download https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/optiplex-7060-desktop/drivers

"Dell Command | Deploy Optiplex 7060 Windows 10 Driver Pack" https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER05684590M/1/7060-win10-A07-V7YNW.CAB

Expand that cab file using 7-zip and copy those files to the ikbox directory above.

I do the the 7060 Win10 x64 drivers in the driver feed. I made sure to add those, and re-cache all drivers before i created the new USB KBE.

    Thank you,
