Windows 8.1 scripted install no longer running post install tasks.

I have a dell venue 11 that after some work i have been able to boot using a usb stick, and the OS is pulling down just fine. After getting to this point i thought i had everything set, however when the system reboots after installing the OS it isnt loading any of the post install tasks. I have tried this on a desktop as well and im not getting anything. We just re cached all of the drivers, updated to the latest WIN5PE, and updated the K2000 to 3.6. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Were you ever able to find a resolution to this? We are having the same issue with Win 8.1 K-Images - BHC-Austin 9 years ago
  • Yes and no? Check all of your scripts to make sure they are set to no reboot, and also remove any reboots from your install script. We also had a post installation converter running in our mid level tasks. Clearing out that helped as well. Lastly make sure you are creating the uefi partitions preinstall, and applying them in the mid level. I currently have nothing else running in mid level and my scripted installs are going fairly well. I had no luck with a k-image. - superanalog 9 years ago
