Has there been a more concrete date set for when 6.0 of the K1000 will be available?

Tuesday's KKE mentioned 3-6 weeks out but gave no firm date.

  • Thanks; I wish they'd hurry up. Love the enhancements coming and can't wait to get at them. - tchapps 10 years ago
    • I am just hoping for metering to actually work and not foul up managed installs. - Jbr32 10 years ago
      • Hey jbr32. I'm Mary from KACE Technical Support. Can you give me some scenarios on this? You can email me at mary_scherich@dell.com. I am always looking for feedback to take back. - KACE_Mary 10 years ago
      • I also hope metering works, what happened for us was with metering turned on all of our backups failed because the backup software creates a folder at the beginning of the backup and then deletes it at the end but the metering service locked the folder and the backup software was unable to delete it so next time the backup ran it saw the folder there and because it could not do anything to it the backup job failed. turning off metering and disabling the service meant the backup jobs worked again - KiwiJJ 10 years ago

Here's a good case of "let me google this for you." As of March 25th according to this article, there should be a formal release in the first week of May. I wouldn't hold my breath at this point since they keep pushing back on the release date, but as of today this is the best I could find.

Anyone have anymore updates on when 6.0 might be released? :)

  • Every time I talk to them I hear in the next 2-4 weeks. They did just release an update to the K1000 Go App that had functionality available once you're on the 6.0 release, so I'm hoping 6.0 will release any day now. I figure if the GO App has functionality that relies on 6.0 then it has to be right around the corner. - tchapps 10 years ago
    • Yeah, I got the new version of the app, that's what made me ask, it has to be any day now I would think. - glennvelsol 10 years ago
