Application Packaging using AdminStudio Training - Any Good?
Hi Everyone,
Am embarking on a project to deploy Windows 8.1 64 bit, System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager and some 700 applications. How hard can it be...?
Windows 8.1 64 bit and System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager shouldn't be a problem. Packaging the apps is the tough challange.
I have some capability here, but mainly around "popular", enterprise-friendly applications that come with silent installers that take parameters and/or answer files. Plus there's ITNinja, of course :-) It's everything else that's hard...

Has anyone done this course? Was it any good? Is it appropriate for my project? I think it is, just after further opinions from others with more experience and expertise.

I find the course pretty good. Especially if you get the trainer to focus on all the automation candy that's in the more expansive/expensive editions. AAC, conflict remediation, SCCM integration etc. Stuff you won't pick up in a web search but that can save you a ton of time on manual tedious jobs any package monkey could do.
The flexera courses are very good. You might consider online courses at a much cheaper price though, presented by trainers who also present the Flexera trainings:
