Change domain script
Our company is acquiring smaller firms all the time. Does anyone have a script that can be pushed to window 7 machines which will allow us to change their domain to ours without having to touch each machine and manually changing domain?

From reading the comments there are a few options you can do.
Our company has the policy to re-image "new-come" machine because of ISO certifications.
This option does seems to most problem proof method for later, more standard settings and so...
But before this ISO stuff, it was more easier to just join a machine, so long an agent was installed on it that would take care of policy and other settings...
If you have a service account that has rights as local administrator in both (all) domains, you can use this to generalize the computer.
I know of script that can unjoin and rejoin a server, so should be easier for a workstation.
Reboot will be required!

The machines in question are already attached to a domain which we will be phasing out.
So essentially we are looking to move computers attached to domain B to domain A. - theadrick 9 years ago
