Software Deployment

I am a newbie and I'm trying to create an mst for the 'SCR Pro V8' that comes with a native msi. Using the WPS 5.0 wizard I created an mst and made very few customisations to the orig msi. i.e. I changed a few features that were being installed, etc. Also stopped all the dialogs from being displayed (during the mst creation, the wizard gives you the choice to place a tick in a box for each window that you do not want displayed during install - this does not appear to work. I had to manually edit the mst after creation to stop the dialogs from being displayed). Anyway, when I tested the mst install, it failed with error 2602 - "c2supprt.dll has no associated entry in the Media table". So I went back to the native msi and ran orca validation against it. It came up with a huge amount of ICE errors, incl ICE numbers I have never encountered before. Its great that the developers have not even followed the Windows Installer rules. So where should I start with this? Do I try to fix the ICE errors from the msi first (which looks pretty horrendous). e.g. ICE03 Warning String Overflow (greater than length permitted in column) Table: File. Column: File, .....
Has anyone else encounted this sort of problem with SCR or any app?
