Files in AppDataFolder

Hi, All I have a problem, I have a package - Ibm Personal Comm. 5.7, works great.

Now I have to create a separate "session" package with *.ws files stored in [AppDataFolder]IBM\Per..... and this files have to be in the INI file table (using WISE and the variable [AppDataFolder] in the *.ws files). The shortcuts are placed in AllUsers, and points to a exe file located in the "main" packag with the argument the *.ws files located in the profile, so I can not have them Advertised

Im installing the package as System, and then the user logs on I want to trigger a /fup or a similar solution to get the *.ws files copied to the Profile.

Solution 1
Using active setup, but as this is stored in the Roaming part of the Registy that will only occur once per user. (maybe good enough as the *.ws files are also stored in the roaming part)

Solution 2
Create a exe file that i Deploy i the session package (to have it advertised and have a trigger) that runs the *.exe tile with the argument .ws file.

Solution 3
Maybe only create e shortcut that referes to the *.ws file stored in the profile.

Any other ideas?

//G.

Within the same component as your INI file entries, add a HKCU registry key (as a 'placeholder') and make this registry key your KeyPath.

When a user logs on, the MSI will check this component keypath and 'repair' the component (and add the INI file entries etc).

No, didnt work as the EXE file that the shorcut refers to is not in the same package and can not advertised, I choosed the Active Setup solution.
