Get proxy settings in System Context

Hi,
I`m wondering... is it possible to get proxy settings (not only a server name) especially a Username and Password in System Context as it`ll be deployed via SCCM?
I`m facing the problem with app that asks for that to put them in.
Any clue much appriciated

I'm not exactly clear what you mean by "get proxy settings" but, by way of assistance, I think it highly unlikely you will be able to obtain *any* password details. That would represent a teensy security hole, wouldn't it?

As for System context/SCCM deployment, if the settings you refer to a user-specific, either find a feature which has an advertised shortcut and add a user feature containing the settings as a child of that feature or, if there are no advertised entry-points, use Active Setup.

Thanks for the reply. You are right .
Proxy settings is a big issue in my company as there are thousands of machines located in different parts of the World which have different proxies. Big bosses don`t want to package (spend money) apps that require an admin or user interaction(even post installation actions), instead they prefer to install them manually. Hell.
Ok, do you have an example of how to deal with the app with proxy settings? Even from perspective of AD...

If you are referring to the internet proxy settings information , this will be availble in the HKCU registry entry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings , you can modify the settings here.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
