How to updated drivers feed for Dell OptiPlex 7050?

When the network engineer ran the upgrade of KACE 2000 to version 9, the images are failing to apply via PXE-LAN.v4 for the older models of OptiPlex desktops that we wiped.

After re-setting the BIOS back to our college default settings, and attempted to run the image - it keeps failing with an error msg, "Windows could not parse or process the unattend answer file for pass [specialize]. The settings specified in the answer file cannot be applied. The error was detected while processing settings for component [Microsoft-Widnows-Shell-Setup].

I am just assuming that it has to do with the drivers feed, but not sure...

Please, help!

Hey! i would suggest to verify the Setupact.log you can gran that log from: Check the logfile C:\Windows\Panther\\setupact.log  or C:\Windows\Panther\UnattendGC\setupact.log  and see if there is any specifics on it, if you like paste it here and lets see if we can help on that.

Probably and its just best i think to create a new unattended file on the new appliance and see if that also helps out.

Thank you 'dishiznit' !

I, actually, found what I've done wrong! I included "&" character in the NetBios name during the pre-install which eventually conflicted with our DNS.

Changed the workstation name and problem has been resolved.

Thank you for your effort.
